Allied Fire Protection doesn’t fight fire with fire. We fight with prevention, detection and active monitoring. Ever alert and ready to rapidly respond, our only job is to protect the people, facilities and physical assets that are truly priceless to you. Allied Fire Protection works to continually perfect the art and science of fire detection in order to immediately alert those on-premise, as well as the proper authorities, first responders and stakeholders.

The founders and owners of Allied Fire Protection are very much a part of our daily operations. Our Operations Managers learned their craft in the field – installing, servicing and perfecting fire and life safety systems. They know the importance of supervising and seasoning every crew coming up after them. They pass along our culture and practices, whether it’s in our proven Apprenticeship program, on weekend hunting and fishing trips or at a company picnic. Decade after decade, our management team remains nothing short of All-In.

We’re Texas born and proud to serve our neighbors all across Greater Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, the Rio Grande Valley, and Laredo, Texas.

Our Story

The story of Allied Fire Protection didn’t begin in 1998, when Shannon Payne and John Hubbard founded the company in Shannon’s garage. Technically, the dream began when the two best friends were only 13 years old. By the time they turned 27, they were ready for the idea of starting their own business to become a reality. When Allied Fire Protection was born, John already had seven years of fire and life safety experience behind him, working his way from pipefitter to superintendent to estimator. Shannon, after graduating from college, brought his business background earned through various roles in corporate America. Combining their strengths and adhering to the values that still guide us today, Allied has grown steadily, with six offices across the state of Texas and over 250 employees.

Today, there’s no job Allied Fire Protection can’t handle, as evidenced by long-term partnerships with industry leaders.

Through growth and success, the corporate mission at Allied has never changed – make the communities where we operate better places to work and live and be the best fire and life safety company possible.

Community Involvement / Giving Back

We, at Allied Fire Protection, believe strongly in the importance of supporting organizations in the communities we serve. We work year round with groups that center around causes that make a difference including Youth Education and Arts, Military Support, Agriculture, Health and Human Services, Community Development and Conservation.

We proudly work as a team participating in service projects, promoting volunteer support, hosting collection drives and fundraisers. When we give back to the communities where we work and live, we get to share in making them better places for everyone.

Shannon Payne

Founder and CEO

Shannon formed Allied Fire Protection with John in 1998 and today oversees the Company focused on internal and external customer relationships and enhancing Company culture. He served on the Board of Directors for the Young Constructor’s Forum, a group within the AGC, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Heritage Bank. Shannon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management from the University of Houston Clear Lake. Shannon and his wife Tracy are parents of three children. He enjoys hunting, ranching, traveling, and outdoor activities.

Troy Davenport

Partner, Chief Operating Officer

Troy has been integral to our success since 2005. Troy is a member of NFPA, AFSA, and previously served as a Director on the board for the Fire Sprinkler Association of Texas. Troy is a certified NICET Level IV, licensed Texas RME-G and holds licenses in Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Utah. Troy manages the Operations of all Allied offices across Texas and work completed out of state where his 30+ years of experience add an important level of expertise and wisdom to our team. Troy and his wife Nezi have two children and he enjoys playing golf, fishing and hunting.

Dallas Hall

President

Dallas brings a world of business expertise, financial experience and community involvement to Allied Fire Protection. Before joining the Allied team, Dallas worked in commercial banking as Market President at BB&T. He is an active member of the Swine Auction Committee and Corporate Development Committee at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, serves on the Board of Directors and Finance committee of Houston’s Theatre Under the Stars, and is a member of the Tejas Vaqueros. Dallas earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance at Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration at the University of Georgia. His hobbies include reading, traveling, hunting, fishing, and golfing. 

Michael Bilski

Chief Financial Officer

Michael joined Allied Fire Protection in February of 2021, assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer. Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University, earned his Master of Business Administration at the University of Houston and is a Certified Public Accountant. He started his career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers and has most recently been in controller and CFO roles with private companies. Michael and his wife Melanie have two children that keep him busy with extracurricular activities. He enjoys the outdoors, coaching various youth sports, and live music. On vacation, he can be found relaxing on a beach or hitting the ski slopes.

Tina Tiller

Chief Administrative Officer

Tina joined Allied in 2012, serving in our Internal Business Operations where she handled HR, Safety, Legal, IS, and Corporate Services. She rose to the challenge as our Director of Human Resources before becoming our CAO. Tina graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. Tina and her husband Glen have two children. When Tina has time, she enjoys reading, traveling, being a “foodie” and the Texas music scene.
